is his debut album consists of myriads of beautifully layered sounds. Whitfied usually starts out using one
instrument which is normally an acoustic guitar, and just follows his instinct from there with much “accidents”.
Imperfections – the hiss and mistakes are inevitable to his music which makes “River Cities” sound so special.
Includes a remix track by female Tokyo techno producer 34423 (Miyoshi Fumi).

In the words of multi-instrumentalist Thomas Whitfield (simple eyyes) “it starts with one instrument, normally an acoustic guitar and from there everything else is backing that sound. I like the imperfections, the hiss, the mistakes. Without those, the songs would have less identity”.
Hailing from Birmingham and Classically playing drums in bands since 15 enjoying success with distophia and calories,”I think music has always helped me stay focused”.
His ideals of music progressed as he aged and now in his early 30’s pushing himself into production and on to a whole new path.
His first personal project, Thomas said about the process “I started making electronic music as I was getting tired of the formula of a practice room. The ideas of loops and having control of every element of the song appeal to me”.
River Cities is the first album from simple eyyes and only the start of a completely new chapter.
